Running Order

Thankyou all for supporting the club and helping to keep the old ITN spirit alive. It was good to to see so many of you at the Christmas lunch on the 14th. With your continuing support I hope that 2012 will be another good year for the club and wish you all a very good year in 2012. John

Club Committee

  • Today the club has grown to comprise over 320 members.
  • The object of the club is to keep alive the memories of the spirit of ITN.
  • Membership, which has always included all the former editors of ITN, is open to anyone who has worked for ITN for not less than two years,
  • It is primarily a social club-but it is also one which, through keeping in touch, concerns itself with the welfare of former colleagues.
  • The club holds a monthly meeting on the first Monday of the month, at noon in a central London location.
  • Currently the venue is The Kings Head, at the corner of Westmoreland Street and Wheatley Street, London W1 where an upstairs room is reserved for Club members.

The subscription for membership which is to help cover costs of running the Club (and this
includes the distribution of a monthly 16-page Newsletter), is payable on joining and subsequently
in March of each year. The amount is decided upon at the AGM. Currently it is £15 pa for UK
based members and £20 for those living overseas (the extra is to help cover additional postage
of the monthly newsletter). Additional donations are, of course, always welcome.

If you live in London   you get the chance to attend a monthly meeting, should you wish to do so
and to attend other occasional social events.

If you don't live near central London you are kept in regular touch with other members
        mainly through the monthly Newsletter

There are four main annual events - four 'get togethers'
The Annual General Meeting which his held in Central London in March
Treasurers Lunch, early summer, at an AA- five star restaurant in Dorset.
A River Trip on The Thames, usually late summer, with lunch on board.
         A Christmas lunch
which is held every December, in Central London, at which
the 100 places have always been filled.

Jo Redding is the Honorary President of the Club
